it's been a pretty sad year for our dogs. we tradgically lost rex (4.5 years old) last october and about a month ago duke (9 years old) was diagnosed with a brain tumor. the vet told us maybe 3 months, but it was growing fast. he was losing his sight in one eye, he was becoming very tired and was losing weight. once he lost his bladder control we had to make a decision to euthanize him before he deteriorated any more. it was very hard...i stayed with him and held him to the end. it was a very strange and yet calm experience and yes of course i bawled! we are all sad but know it was the best for him. we will miss them. they were alot of work, but awesome dogs! ( duke is on the couch, rex is on the floor) awww such handsome doggies!Now sammi girl will have to take care of us!
