we had a wonderful weekend up at lake canyon rec area. grandma and wen organized dutch oven dinners & dessert. grandpa & jan were the official chefs for the dutch ovens and grills. grandpa taught zack and chase the fine technique of knife throwing. we had the usual smores with the addition of the lemore (officially named by chase!) it's a roasted marshmellow with lemon curd and vanilla wafers. delish!! zack and jan did a trek through the mountains to a meadow on the next mountain, the next day zack and jason took a trek across and through a creek and summited the mountain. grandpa should have some great pics of this soon on his blog, along with grandma's pics as well. oma lead us on a couple yahtzee marathons! linds made the big bucks. jason don't forget to pay up. thank you to all the guys for getting and cutting the firewood. eric gets the honors for the biggest fire of the week, it was still hot the next morning. on the last day zack decided to play frodo for the day with his big filthy dirty feet. yuck! Great vacation. Thanks to Grandma & Grandpa, Taylor, Jan & Wen, Zack, Oma, Chase & Lou, Linds & Jason, Eric & Amy, Kassi & Brighton.
